Find the “delight” in your diet with my wine finds that are perfect for New Year’s diets. They’re made to go with lighter meals. Red wine fans, don’t worry: I’ve got you covered with a brand new Malbec that’s perfect for cold nights and big bowls of beef stew!
Lamberti Extra Dry
Prosecco is a wonderful choice if you’re trying to cut back. They often have less calories than wine and pair beautifully with salads and lighter fare. But I love the Lamberti Extra Dry all by itself. You’ll taste lovely fruit notes on this one, like melons and green apples. It’s about $14 a bottle.
Silk Oak Sauvignon Blanc
I chose another salad wine, because I’m doing a lot of salads this time of year! The Silk Oak Sauvignon Blanc pairs with all kinds of things, like fish and chicken and other lighter fare. It’s a bit of a rounder style Sauvignon Blanc with melon and citrus, even a hint of oak. It’s a great buy at $12 a bottle.
Concho Y Toro Gran Reserva Malbec
Red wine fans, I was so excited to find this one! The Concho Y Toro Gran Reserva Malbec from Chile has beautiful flavors of black plums, blueberries, and dark cherries. It has very soft tannins and is great all by itself. I can imagine cozying up by a fire with a bowl of beef stew and sipping on this wine. You’ll love this one for $14 a bottle.
As always, I found all my wines at H-E-B!
