Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Shallots
I love this recipe! It’s so easy. It helps if you have a food processor with a slicer blade.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts (the larger, the better)
- ½ pound bacon
- 1 shallot finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Slice the Brussels sprouts from the stem down very thinly. If you’re using a food processor with the top slicing blade, simply run them through the food processor tube.
- Cook the bacon and remove from pan. Crumble or chop into small pieces. Sauté the shallots in the bacon grease and then add the sprouts. Toss evenly and cook to desired tenderness. Season with salt and pepper to taste, add the bacon, toss, and serve.
