Our friends at H-E-B always provide incredible wines at affordable prices. So, whether you’re buying several bottles for a party or a special bottle for two, it’s easy to find something to meet your needs and your budget. In this weekend’s NEW episode of Goodtaste, we share three extremely affordable and fruit-forward bottles that are great for easy drinking during the holiday season.
First off, a refreshing chardonnay from Sonoma that is a great wine to sip on during cocktail hour. The grapes are grown in a warmer region, giving this chardonnay from Complicated Wines bright tropical fruit notes. In each sip you’ll taste mango, papaya and even a hint of pineapple. $18
Next, one of everyone’s favorite varietals: pinot noir. However, this isn’t just any pinot. Lander-Jenkins pinot noir is from California and tastes of wild berries, such as raspberry and cranberry. There are some undertones of clove, as well. This wine will pair perfectly with lamb, chicken, pork and even a good burger. $13
This is a really fun one: the 1,000 Stories cabernet sauvignon. This wine is aged in bourbon barrels so you get a hint of that vanilla and caramel you expect from a bourbon. Combine with dark cherries and a hint of cocoa and you have one very smooth wine. $20
As always, you can find these wines and more at your local H-E-B. Bonus: When you buy six or more bottles, you’ll get 10% off your entire wine purchase!
