The temperature is dropping and so are the prices of some fantastic bottles of wine! On last weekend’s NEW episode of Goodtaste, we shared two fabulous bottles of red and a new bottle for you rosé-all-year fans. All of these bottles are incredible bargains at your local H-E-B. More details below!
Up first, a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon from 9 Lives. The winery got its name from a black cat that hangs around their vineyard. The owners say the cat brings them good luck – they even made him a charm with the number 9. This wine is easy to drink with dark fruit, figs, tobacco and notes of vanilla. $10
Next, a wine you’ll be drinking all winter long: The Juan Gil Monastrell from the Jumilla region of Spain. It is aged in French oak and very highly rated — 91 points by The Wine Advocate. You’ll taste dark fruits, crème de cassis and plenty of toasty notes from the barrel. $13
To lighten things up a bit, here is a lovely Rosé from the very popular Meiomi wines. You’ll taste cherries, strawberries, and maybe even a hint of honey. It’s a wonderful food wine because it pairs with so many dishes, but it’s also perfect all by itself. $24
As always, you can find these wines and more at your local H-E-B. Bonus: When you buy six or more bottles, you’ll get 10% off your entire wine purchase!
