Sayonara to the lazy days of summer! Schools are back in session, but at least we have the weekends to recharge. 🙂 Squeeze the most out of your Saturdays and Sundays by hitting the ‘snooze’ button and beginning your day with brunch in style!
Kudos to this colossal Crab Benedict [above] from my friends at the Water Grill in Uptown Dallas — a meal fit for a king OR queen! Build with open-face English muffins, buttered baby spinach and poached eggs. Spoon jumbo lump crabmeat and our scratch-made Hollandaise on top, and plate with grilled asparagus. It’s hard to beat this Benny!
If you’re in the mood for eggs, but are more of the ‘omelet’ type, this Goat Cheese and Bell Pepper Omelet is a light, vegetarian friendly entrée that only takes about 10 minutes to create. It’s stuffed with sautéed bell peppers and onions, and crowned with soft goat cheese, alongside fresh garden greens. The recipe that comes to us from Dana Tomlin and the Wheatsville Food Co-op is endless customizable!
Those intent on satisfying their sweet tooth should look no further than these New Orleans Style Beignets from Chef Antoine Ware with Harold’s Restaurant & Tap Room in the Heights! Dusted with decadent powdered sugar and paired with a crème anglaise (English cream) custard sauce. Who can resist!
