We’re getting ready for the holiday season and between all the parties and festivities, it’s difficult to pick out the perfect bottle to bring. Not to worry – Goodtaste and H-E-B have some crowd-pleasing pinot noirs that are great for any occasion.
Our first pick is a value-friendly pinot. When entertaining a big crowd, you want enough wine for the masses, plus something that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. For that, we have the Casillero del Diablo Pinot Noir ($8.98). This light-bodied pinot comes from Chile and has a touch of acidity with undertones of raspberry and cherry. A very accessible wine, this bottle pairs with almost any food.
If you’re looking for something a little more elevated, we have the WestMount Pinot Noir ($19.98) from Oregon. The WestMount has a bit more complexity than the first one we shared, plus an unexpected earthy, mushroom profile. We find Willamette Valley wines to be the most versatile for any food pairing, so it’s always a safe option.
Our last bottle is an H-E-B favorite: a sparkling pinot noir rosé. The French Charles de Fère Réserve Rosé ($18.99) has a beautiful blush color. It’s a dry, slightly acidic rosé that you can drink on its own or pair with a light seafood pasta or a spicy curry.
As always, you can find all of this wine at your local H-E-B. Bonus: Get 10% off your entire purchase when you buy six or more bottles.
