There’s new life, new optimism and lots of delicious new beginnings along our Texas coast. Hurricane Harvey’s devastation last year is slowly fading away. In this week’s new episode of Goodtaste, we’ll take you to the coast where you’ll see that your favorite restaurants are back! I was so touched by their stories, so inspired! I think you will be too.
Our first stop is Venetian Hot Plate, an authentic Northern Italian restaurant owned by a woman who grew up in Venice, Italy. After seeing the distruction of her Port A eatery, she knew she had to reopen. Lucky for us, she did.
Then, we visit owner Greg Villasana at La Playa Mexican Grille. Here, proof that the Lord above has a sense of humor. You’ll want to watch to hear about his wall of tequila that miraculously was sparred. 🙂
Our last stop is a family-owned favorite, Shells Pasta & Seafood. This intimate spot has been a fixture of the Port Aransas community since 1996, and their fantastic food is back and better than ever.
Don’t miss this week’s inspiring stories and some fantastic, must-try food. Find your Goodtaste with Tanji showtime below.
