"Really Goode Job" Pays $10,000 Per Month
Talk about a great gig! The Murphy-Goode Winery has a “really Goode Job” opening. The Sonoma County winery wants to find an ‘outgoing, web-savvy, articulate communicator’ to blog, Tweet and talk about Sonoma wines. The dream job pays ten grand a month for a six month contract that includes private housing in beautiful Healdsburg.
Spanish Wines
Spanish wines have become very popular – not only do wine makers there make some good wines, but they have some great price points. My two Best Buy picks this week are from our Spanish friends. After all, our Mediterranean cruise that many of you are going on starts in Barcelona!

Back to Nature at Benziger Winery
I recently spent an afternoon with Chris Benziger touring his family’s beautiful vineyards. The Benzigers are not only farming their grapes organically but also biodynamically.
Explore Hill Country With New Book
I recently received an advance copy of “The Texas Hill Country” A Food and Wine Lover’s Paradise and have already put it to good use. The attractive cover (a beautiful, lush grapevine) and easy to follow format got my attention. Before I knew it, I’d committed a good 15 minutes to exploring the recipes and […]
Fall Creek Vineyards
I’ve got a fun road trip for you today. It’s one of Texas oldest wineries in the beautiful Hill Country near Lake Buchanan.
Check out Fall Creek Vineyards – It’s about 20 minutes north of Marble Falls. Ask to see their famous Louis Pasteur doors.
More to Mondavi Than Wine
The entire wine world was saddened this spring by the passing of Robert Mondavi. He was a visionary – a passionate, innovative entrepreneur who created the most famous winery in California.

Rosé Wines – All the Buzz
What comes to mind when you hear “rosé wine?” White zinfandel? Sweet wine? Well, then you’ve gotta get more adventurous! There are some really nice, dry rosé wines that aren’t white Zinfandels, and they are perfect for our hot summer days. Plus, they pair nicely with a lot of different foods.
