Biga on the Banks is fortunate to have a staff that truly takes care of their own! The resident chef, Daniel Dirmeyer, recently received the devastating news that his 8-year old daughter Emma has been diagnosed with a horribly aggressive brain cancer. On January 20th from noon to 3pm, Biga on the Banks will host a brunch to help cover a small part of Emma’s treatment.

Eva Longoria’s ties to Texas are big and bright, and the Desperate Housewives star was indeed shining this past Saturday night at her annual celebrity poker gala in San Antonio. The Eva Longoria Celebrity Casino Night was a HUGE success, and benefited Eva’s Heroes, a charitable organization co-founded by the actress herself, as well as Christiane Perkins-Garcia.
